HELLO ALL. Today is a happy day! Because………….
*drumrolls*
WE WENT TO SAKAE SUSHI FOR LUNCH!

CHIO NOT, hehe. can make things sparkle! And yes, though that sparkling effect may be photoshopped, TRUST ME, the cups and utensils at Sakae are literally SPARKLING CLEAN!
One thing that really disgusts me is dirty utensils at restaurants/food courts/coffeeshops! WORSE STILL, dirty floors/walls and everything and anything that your eyes can see!!! LOL Googled and apparently they call this fetish for cleanliness the ‘Clean Freak Disorder’. 0_0??
But am really happy that Sakae@ parkway didn’t give me this problem. =D yay! *inserts happy face*

HERE’s mommy and adwin, adwin being so fascinated by the conveyor belt!
Last time I remember going to this Jap restaurant where their conveyor belt is situated so far away!
Whenever you want take sushi must walk ALLLLLLLLLL THE WAAAAAAY there, juggle carry like 5 plates of sushi, and walking back ALLLLLL THE WAAAAAAAY again just to get back to your seat.
*restaurant name is not revealed to protect their identity ;-)*
I’m really happy that Sakae didn’t give me this prob! Call me choosy, picky, anal, or whatever, but really, this does affect your dining experience!
And come on, got convenience who don’t want right :-)
And on a side note, their service RIGHT FROM THE START is really good!! Without my mom having to ask for a baby chair (like all other times at all other restaurants where she has to personally go take the chair herself =.=) the manager (YES, manager, not even some cleaner or waiter/waitress or what) voluntarily offered adwin the baby chair for him to reach his food!
Xie xie Sakae Sushi for your wonderful 5-star service and constant sensitivity towards consumers’ needs! =D

The menu’s so high-class la!! Like those atas restaurants liddat!
All other restaurants that I went to damn cheapo la, they squeezed like 20 dishes into one page of the menu or something, like trying to save printing cost or what =.=
And guess what?
in the end some of the dishes like no pictures attached, how to gauge whether nice or not =.=

Here’s some iced green tea! Luckily its not chinese tea or i dont know what cos i dont like them!
But for those hot green tea lovers out there, fret not!
Because…
Sakae Sushi, being the top-notch and most representative of all jap restaurants in Singapore, offers variety to meet the needs of ALLL consumers! AND SO, they offer hot, warm, semi-warm, cold, ice-cold whatever kinds of green tea as long as you request for them! =D

GREEN JAP PEAS. Got them cos you cant find it / eat it elsewhere, except for jap restaurants :D Yeap! its really fresh and green in here, compared to other places, where its like hard and brown hehe.
Yangyang’s first time trying it! Though not a lover of peas and nuts, he said it’s nice! Hehes =D
You see, quality of food doesss affect the whole standard of the restaurant k! It’s not just about the image, the colourful advertisements, or even the cheap prices!
Quality of food is one criterion that Sakae Sushi has, (I can vouch for this!), in addition to all other factors listed above, that is going to make your dining experience a very, very pleasant one indeed!

AWW so cute =D

Having fun playing “GUESS WHERE THE PEAS ARE” HAHA family-bonding time =)
Seeeeee, contrary to popular belief, restaurants are NOT JUST a place for eating! It’s also a wonderful place to have family-bonding, or even something as simple as catching up with an old friend =)
And I really feel that there’s just this something about Sakae Sushi outlets that make it an especially appealing outlet to do all these…
maybe it’s the cosy and warm ambience?
or maybe the warm hospitality of its waiters and waitresses that really make the whole experience feels nice?
Hehes =D
Yeah, anyway, julien accidentally spilled her cup of green tea =.= clumsy girl!!
But a handsome manager came to clean up her mess for her like immediately!!! And julien says he’s cute, look like some Korean star =D Awww
Good appearance aside, what impressed me the most is the fact that there doesn’t seem to be any form of hierachy in the restaurant, like you know…
managers caannnot wipe tables, cannoooot sweep floor! Cos will spoil his image!
Hehes am glad that all this is not seen at Sakae!

Yay my favourite :D

Here’s my bento set! YUM YUM . Salmon set and its really delicious sauce!!

Here’s his! its Teriyaki Chicken set, really worth it!!
Got a total of 4 sets for 4 of us :D AND GUESS WHAT?
4 bento sets with high-quality food + Iced green tea + wonderful service…cost less than 30 in total!?!? THAT’S LIKE A BIT MORE THAN 7 DOLLARS PER PERSON!?
WHERE TO FIND LA! Low and affordable price, without compromising on the quality of food at all! Another tick on the checklist for Sakae :-)

CUTE AND HAPPY YANGYANG. he’s happy eating!

ME :D

ooomg, i swear the salmon is nice to eat!!
the salmon isnt like, overcooked, just right!! Don’t have the fishy salmon taste either! And, each piece of Salmon is like sized so that it looks appetising!
Compared to other restaurants, like you know, just dump one/two BIIIIIIIG pieces of salmon there, all the fats and skin of the fish clearly visible to you =.=, not at all appetising!

the set also consist of miso soup! not too salty and just right :D Hehes the portion is not stingy at all, just right! And not too much up to the extent you feel like puking either! =D

Fried tofu! my mom’s love! Really nice k!
I remember last time I hate the fried tofu at jap restaurants, cos you know.. got this very soya bean-y and raw taste to it!
BUT AT SAKAE, the sweet (with a slight tinge of saltiness which is all for the better taste of the sauce) sauce really complemented very well with the tofu, and covered all awful taste to it!
I remember in TV food shows they always damn exaggarating, describe a lot of the food as uhhh… crispy on the outside, then inside so smooth and soft until like can melt!
I’ve always been quite skeptical towards such comments, BUUUUUT Sakae’s fried tofu really impressed me, and all I have to say now to non-believers is that TRY IT BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING, BECAUSE IT’S REALLY GOOD! =)

Here’s something SPECIAL. FRIED Lotus root chips!!
Super special and unique!!
Tastes like a healthier alternative to potato chips! yeap my mom was like “uhh the lotus root” (cos she saw the other table eating it) and the person understood! hahaha!

NO MORE SOUP, sad! HAHA I look like some Jap star, in those emo crying scenes you know =D
Guess the backdrop of Sakae gave it a very traditional and authentic Japanese feel!

Mommy and adwin after enjoying the awesome meal! And ‘awesome’ is really an understatement!

Happy and contented Julien!

me and chuming! :D
Anw we ordered too much and even had leftovers to DA-BAO!! So worth it and affordable right!! :D
and i love the atmostphere there, its so cozy and warm and fuzzy and the lighting there is just right :D
And its like, covered so we can do our own things without anyone laughing at us! Feels at home, because there’s some degree of privacy there as each table is like within this compartment-like thing!
Yeah! Love sakae!
